Accent Color for
Antique Gold Drapes

Question:

I have antique gold drapes with chocolate brown eyelets. I am looking for an accent color that will make the room pop. What can you suggest?

Answer:

If you ask for wall color that would work well with your drapes – you may choose from several options. With light blue or green your gold drapes would create a nice contrast and would look brighter. Or, you may paint your walls in neutral tones: white, cream or beige. In such way the contrast wouldn’t be so dramatic, but your gold drapes will get a spectacular look.

If you are speaking about decorative accents – I would put some items in gold and chocolate that will complement your drapes and several others in eye-catching colors – red, green, or turquoise. It could be cushions, area rugs, bedding and so on. Visit Home Decorating Pictures for more ideas and inspiration.

Good luck,
Alina
