Question:
I need to have white color on my drapes facing out, due to Strata rules. Can I get white thermal drapes (I’m looking for an alternative to an air conditioner for heat)?
Also, could I just leave the white drapes that I have up now, and just tie on the thermal drapes on the interior side, and will they still work?
Answer:
Hi Barb,
I know it’s possible to find white thermal drapes. In US you can find them in a number of stores that sell window drapes. I believe you can get them in Canada as well. If you prefer to shop online - there are white thermal drapes at Amazon.com
Regarding to your question about adding thermal drapes to your white curtains – I think it depends on the type of fabric and curtain style. If you will get thermal drapes other than white, I would suggest you to install double curtain rod and to hang them separately. In this case you will get more flexibility - you may use only white drapes when you don’t need insulation.
Hope, this helps,
Alina
