I'm thinking about doing my living room a dark brown/chocolate brown color, but I was wondering what color would be good for the entry way? The entry way leads into the living room. Should it be a lighter brown color?
Answer:
Hi Retha,
You may fit your entryway color to your living room color scheme, but it’s not necessary. Actually, you may choose whatever color you like. Sometimes contrasting tones make an attention-grabbing effect. It all depends on what mood you want to create there. If you want to see an entryway as a part of your living room, choose the color that complement chocolate brown (lighter brown would be good then). But if you like to separate your entryway from the living room, pick completely different color for it. It can still work well with your living room’s tones, but also will create an interesting contrast.
Hope it helps you, Alina
