My living room has chocolate walls, white trim, beige carpet, and a beige sectional. What colors would look good with them?

Since your living room color scheme is quite neutral, you can easily add some others that will work great with your existing palette. Actually, you have a number of variations. You may create a peaceful atmosphere in your room by bringing some items of earth or pastel tones: olive green, light blue, pale yellow, light pink. If you prefer more dramatic effects – add some vivid colors: bright yellow, bright green, turquoise, purple, lilac, gold.
