These roman shades are for a screen porch - a very elegant one! It is to be used as a multi-season room so I would like the shades to be water resistant and suitable for moderate outdoor use. There is quite an overhang on the roof to defray water splash. There is also a large stone fireplace and heated stone floor for cool weather. There are 10 skylights and a large ceiling fan. It will be fashionably decorated so window treatments to keep out the weather and add to the aesthetics of the room will be essential. The shades will, however, need to be moveable so as to enjoy the landscaping, Koi pond, and hardscapes that surround the porch on three sides!
